Mukul cries foul after permission for meeting ‘denied’

Mukul Roy

Bharatiya Janata Party leader and party observer for the panchayat election, Mukul Roy on Thursday came down heavily on the election commission and the district police administration for not permitting BJP members to hold public meetings in South Dinajpur.

It was however witnessed that BJP leaders addressed all the meetings in the district on Thursday without the permission of the administration. Mr Roy meanwhile raised allegation against TMC leader for executing illegal activities by showing a file to the people.

He blamed top leaders of the TMC like Partha Chattopadhyay of being related with chit fund frauds like Sumangalam. He claimed of having enough evidence against the ruling party leaders and assured to disclose it all in front of the public soon.

He meanwhile promised to gift smart phones to every young voter if BJP wins the zilla parishad. Mr Roy in his visit to South Dinajpur on Thursday addressed four public meetings. He firstly addressed a meeting at Dawlatpur high School playground in Banshihari where in his short and compact speech he slammed the TMC and chief minister for the sabotage done by the ruling party in the nomination submission process.

Mr Roy claimed, “If the chief minister is doing well for the people of West Bengal they why are her party members trying to stop us. If her party is perfect people will choose her again. She knows it well that the people have rejected her and her party. That’s the reason she is creating pressure through the administration along with her party-men to capture the panchayat power.”

“Our only aim is to defeat the TMC. We request people to vote to defeat TMC. The district police administration has tried to put barriers to our public meetings in South Dinajpur. They rejected our prayer for permission to hold meetings on the eleventh hour. People will be speaking against all these ill activities in the upcoming rural body elections,” Mr Roy added.
