“On October 12, MCD officials inspected 258 construction sites across all 12 zones, finding mosquito breeding in 85 sites,” the civic body said on Monday.
“Immediate action was taken, destroying the breeding sites on the spot. To ensure compliance, 58 legal notices and 33 prosecutions were issued.

“To eliminate mosquito breeding, construction site owners/builders can channelize the water effectively or can treat water stagnations with diesel/kerosene oil,” the civic body added.
