According to the police, the accused stabbed the victim in a fit of rage after a heated argument, which began when the accused confronted him and asked him to stay away from his 19-year-old sister.

“They were friends and often visited each other’s homes,” an official said, adding, “However, the accused recently found out about his sister’s romantic relationship with the deceased.”

Police said the accused had repeatedly urged Sharma to end the relationship with his sister.

“Despite being asked several times, the victim refused to end the relationship. Eventually, in a fit of rage, the accused stabbed him and fled the scene,” the officer said.

Sharma was rushed to Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

“The victim was attacked by someone he knew. The accused fled after the incident. The exact motive is still being determined,” the officer added.

Police said the crime team along with forensic experts was called to the spot for inspection and evidence collection. The body has been shifted to GTB Hospital for autopsy.

An FIR has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
