A court in Baghpat district has sentenced the head of a local mosque to 10 years of imprisonment for abducting and raping a 15-year-old girl in 2016.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Ramesh Chand on Saturday also imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 on Rihan.
He was held guilty of rape and relevant provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, according to government lawyer Surender Yadav.

The girl was abducted and raped by the man in a village in Baghpat district on January 19, 2016. The accused belongs to Muzaffarnagar district, he said.
