Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Saturday said the digital services would help departments to reduce footfall, delivering better services with transparency.

Addressing the 12th Civil Services Day, Thakur exhorted the officers to work with dedication and missionary zeal and ensure that the work scheduled for on Saturday should not be postponed for on Sunday.

He appreciated the new initiatives taken by Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration (HIPA) to introduce the innovators from different fields and sectors who have contributed for the development of people and society.

These were nominated or awarded by the government from time to time, for sharing their ideas and experiences of their extraordinary work, which would pave a step towards the incubation centre.

He inaugurated the online registration portal for HIPA which will ease the process of making registration and nomination of trainees.

He also released digital literacy mapping portal and the compendium on RTI Act, 2005 and HP Public Services Guarantee Act, an initiative taken by the Department of Administration Reforms.
