Indraj has said that the GT Karnal road from Bawana to Auchandi Border is a crucial route connecting industrial and residential areas, and heavy vehicles associated with industries frequently use the road, and large numbers of employees and residents travel on a daily basis between residential colonies and industrial zones.

He said that presently, the road is narrow and uneven at several points, resulting in frequent traffic jams, accidents, and inconvenience to the public.

The minister stated that these concerns are often raised during public hearings (Jan Sunwai), and requested the PWD minister to direct concerned officials to initiate work on road demarcation, widening, and divider construction at the earliest.

Through his letter, the Social Welfare Minister also urged the construction of a flyover from the DSIIDC cut near the rural Gaushala to Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, citing increasing traffic congestion in this stretch as a serious problem for local residents.

He further drew attention to the heavy traffic congestion between Mangolpuri Chowk and Kanjhawala in North West Delhi, which causes major inconvenience for daily commuters and residents.
