Haryana student union elections in Sept or Oct: Khattar

The Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday said that students’ union elections would be held in colleges and universities of the state in the last week of September or, in the first week of October.

Issuing directions in this regard to all deputy commissioners and superintendents of police through video-conferencing here on Tuesday, the CM told them to make all arrangements to ensure that the elections could be held in a peaceful manner.

Khattar said since the additional water released from Yamuna river would reach Delhi by tomorrow and move towards Faridabad and Palwal, the district administrations of Faridabad and Palwal would have to remain alert and make all necessary arrangements.
