A 20-year-old girl died on Sunday after accidently consuming acid in her house, Delhi Police said.
She was admitted to LBS hospital after she reportedly consumed acid believing it was her syrup, said her father.
The girl, a classs 12 student, did not respond to treatment and succumbed on Sunday, the police said.

“Post-mortem report stated that the cause of death was poison.
Din Mohammad, the father of the deceased, told police that the girl was going through medication and mistakenly consumed acid thinking it was her syrup.
Although she took only two or three sips from bottle she fell unconscious within a minute,” police said.
