Zakir Husain Delhi College organised the 11th Delhi College lecture on Friday. Renowned environmentalist and documentary filmmaker and a chronicler of trees in Delhi, Pradip Krishen, delivered the lecture “Letting in the Jungle”.

In his talk, Krishen narrated two journeys to jungles with two generations, highlighting the natural landscape of Nagore and Jodhpur. He described people’s changing relationship with nature over the years.
He urged the new generation to come out of instant gratification and make efforts to go through the book of nature.

Prof SP Singh, chairperson of the college governing body, presided over the session. Prof Singh lauded Krishen for his engaging narrative and urged the audience to be more reciprocal towards nature.

The Delhi College lecture is a flagship event of the college initiated in 2007. The first lecture was delivered by noted astrophysicist Prof Jayant V Narlikar.
