BJP calls AAP’s denial of medicine to Kejriwal claim a stunt
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said the AAP is trying to gain sympathy for the jailed Delhi chief minister through the claim.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been asked to join the investigation into an alleged assault on Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash in February by two AAP MLAs, police said on Wednesday. The AAP chief will be questioned by the police on Friday.
A senior police officer said that a notice has been sent to Kejriwal and he will be examined on May 18 at 11 am at the Civil Lines police station.
The official added that they were yet to receive a reply from the Chief Minister’s Office.

Last month, his private secretary Bibhav Kumar was also questioned in connection with the case. Police have already questioned 11 MLAs who were present at the chief minister’s residence for the meeting on February 19 in which Prakash was allegedly attacked.
Kejriwal, his former adviser VK Jain and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia were also present there.
On February 20, the Chief Secretary had alleged that he was assaulted by two Aam Aadmi Party legislators in the presence of Kejriwal at the Chief Minister’s residence.
Later, AAP MLAs Amanatullah Khan and Prakash Jarwal were arrested for the alleged assault.
On February 23, a police team had examined the CCTV system installed at the chief minister’s residence in the Civil Lines area and seized the hard disk. The forensic report on the hard disk is still awaited.
The alleged assault on the chief secretary had triggered a bitter tussle between the Delhi government and its bureaucracy.
