NDMC organises Suvidha camp to redress public grievances
During the camp, as many as 60 grievances were received from the public by the officers concerned.
New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) chairman Amit Yadav inaugurated annual Inter-Departmental Sports Competition 2023-24 for officers and employees of the civic body at Talkatora Cricket Ground here on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Yadav while emphasizing the importance of positive aspects of sports and physical activities, said: “Such tournaments not only help employees cognitive function but also improve the sharpen focus and concentration.”
He said that this type of sports event maintains the physical and mental fitness and enthusiasm in employees and also plays a vital role to enhance the stamina and mental capacity.

“Sports and games help to inculcate and develop a sense of responsibility, discipline, optimism among the employees and are the synonyms of team spirit, which always boost up the morale of an individual in its personal or organizational life. Promoting sports within the workplace creates the opportunity for team building and competency,” said Yadav.
He also administered the oath to the sportsperson and appealed to play the games in a sportsman spirit. An inaugural cricket match was held between the Chairman XI team and Secretary XI team.
The Inter Departmental Sports Competition consisting of games like race, discus throw, shot put, carom, table tennis, badminton, tug of war, javelin throw, musical chair and chess will continue till 14th March. More than 2,500 employees of the NDMC are participating in this competition.
