BJP calls AAP’s denial of medicine to Kejriwal claim a stunt
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said the AAP is trying to gain sympathy for the jailed Delhi chief minister through the claim.
Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal today assured the people of the national capital that his government was fully prepared to deal with dengue and chikungunya cases in the city.
Asserting this through a tweet in Hindi, Kejriwal said, “Delhi government is totally prepared to handle dengue and chikungunya cases. I have checked the preparations in a meeting with all the departments concerned”.
The CM also said that “There were 15,000 cases of dengue in 2015, but in 2018, it came down to 2,700. We will try to bring down these numbers further this year”.

He convened a meeting of various departments ahead of the upcoming monsoon season to review the situation and preparedness on the matter. Ac c o rd i n g t o t h e Me t department, the monsoon is expected to reach Delhi in the first week of July
“Rainy season is coming. During the rainy season there occurs cases of dengue and chikungunya. May God keep your family healthy,” Kejriwal told people.
According to a municipal report released on 10 June, at least 13 cases of dengue have been reported in Delhi so far this year. Last week, PWD minister Satyendar Jain had directed authorities to desilt all the drains in the capital by 22 June in a bid to prevent water-logging, which is considered to be a major cause for the outbreak of dengue and chikungunya diseases
