A 20-year-old youth from Delhi drowned in Parbati River near Manikaran in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh on Saturday evening, around 230 km from here.
Additional Superintendent of Police, Kullu, Nishchint Singh Negi said the 20-year-old youth along with his two brothers was on trek to Kheerganga when the accident took place.
“The trio was sitting on a rock near Barshaini in Manikaran area of Kullu district and as Chetan Phullar dipped his foot in Parbati River, he slipped and was washed away in strong current of the river,” he said.

Police said a manhunt was launched after they received a information about the drowning of the youth, however, his body could not be traced as yet.
Chetan, a resident of Rohini area of Delhi was pursuing studies and he along with his brothers Deepak and Yogesh Joshi had came to Kullu few days back.
