Delhi Police Special Cell Busts ISI-Linked Terror Module, 3 Arrested

In a major operation, the Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested three alleged terrorists linked to a network operated by Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and wanted terrorist Shahzad Bhatti. The suspects were apprehended from three different states: Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Madhya Pradesh.

The arrested were identified as Asif alias Arish, Hurganpreet Singh, and Vikas Prajapati alias Betu.

According to the police, the arrested individuals face serious charges, including their alleged involvement in a grenade attack on a police station in Gurdaspur, Punjab, and other explosions and suspicious activities.

“Based on intelligence inputs, the Special Cell has arrested three terrorists. All three were in contact with ISI-linked terrorists and were consistently taking instructions from India’s wanted terrorist, Shahzad Bhatti,” said a police official.

During the investigation, video recordings of several important locations in the country were recovered from the suspects. Investigators suspect this module was in the advanced stages of planning a major terrorist attack, which was thwarted by the Special Cell.

Pramod Kushwaha, Additional Commissioner of the Special Cell, confirmed the developments, stating that the interrogation of the suspects is ongoing.

The probe further revealed that the accused received instructions from Shahzad Bhatti via social media accounts. Bhatti, originally from Pakistan’s Punjab province, is reported to possess a Moroccan passport and is currently active in the UAE, from where he allegedly orchestrates terrorist activities in India.
