The Delhi Police on Friday observed the 150th year of the national song Vande Mataram with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour, with police stations across the city organized mass singing events, encouraging participation from both force personnel and the public.
Many police stations and community policing cells even held events in schools, involving school children in the celebrations.

To mark this historic occasion, mass singing events of the National Song were also held across all districts and units of Delhi Police, through which the force reaffirmed its commitment to uphold the values of unity, integrity, and service to the nation.
At the Delhi Police headquarters, top officials, along with the force personnel, gathered for the collective rendition of the national song in the presence of Commissioner Satish Golchha.
Meanwhile, Delhi Police’s band and orchestra performed mass singing sessions at several prominent locations across the national capital, engaging citizens and spreading the spirit of patriotism.
The year marks 150 years since the composition of Vande Mataram, by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee.
The song has long been a symbol of India’s freedom struggle and continues to inspire generations with its message of devotion to the motherland.
