During the journey, the Delhi Chief Minister was seen interacting with fellow passengers and encouraging the use of public transport.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIT Hyderabad’s Technology Innovation Hub for Autonomous Navigation (TiHAN).
“This MoU will leverage each other’s strength and knowhow in implementation of Autonomous Navigation which is a Safe Smart and Next Gen Mobility solution for last mile connectivity in major metros and public transit in Tier II & III cities,” a DMRC spokesperson said on Monday.

TiHAN is a hub set up by Department of Science & Technology (DST) National Mission in the Cyber Physical Systems for development of Autonomous Navigation and Data Acquisition Systems that enables Ground vehicles, Robots, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles / Drones or other autonomous platforms to navigate and collect data without human interventions.

The MoU was signed by Shobhan Chaudhuri Advisor / R&D from DMRC and Dr. Santosh Reddy Hub Executive Officer, TiHAN from IIT/Hyderabad in the presence of DMRC’s Managing Director, Dr. Vikas Kumar along with Manuj Singhal Director / Infrastructure and other Directors from DMRC side and Prof. Malla Reddy, Dean/Innovation and Prof. P. Rajalakshmi from IIT/Hyderabad.
