Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, inquired with India’s Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava and Nepal’s Ambassador to India Dr Shankar Sharma about the safety and possibility of early return of Delhi’s residents from Nepal in view of the unprecedented violence in the neighbouring country in a telephonic conversation.
She said that the Delhi government was closely monitoring the situation in the neighbouring country and is in constant touch with both embassies and the concerned agencies. Assuring that the people of Delhi would not be left alone in this time of crisis, she said ensuring safe and early return of the national capital’s residents is the state government’s top priority.

CM Gupta appealed to the families of Delhi’s residents, currently in Nepal, to remain calm and place their trust in the information provided by the government. She assured them that the Delhi government is fully committed to the safety and well-being of every resident.
