Expressing deep condolences to the families affected by the explosion near the Red Fort, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday announced an ex gratia of ₹10 lakh for the families of those who lost their lives in the incident.
According to the Chief Minister, those who sustained disabilities due to the blast will receive ₹5 lakh, the seriously injured will be provided ₹2 lakh, and those with minor injuries will be given ₹20,000.

Gupta described the incident as “extremely tragic and heart-rending,” adding that the untimely loss of any life is an irreparable tragedy for the bereaved families, one that can never truly be compensated.
She affirmed that the Delhi government stands firmly with every affected family in this difficult time and has directed officials to ensure prompt medical treatment for the injured.
The Chief Minister also said that the government will make sure victims do not suffer due to any lack of care during their treatment.
Gupta stated that the incident is not only a deep shock for the affected families but also for the entire city. She added that all Delhiites stand united in this moment of grief and assured that the government will ensure no family feels abandoned.
She has instructed the departments concerned to expedite the relief distribution process and ensure that no eligible person faces any delay in receiving assistance.
