Stabbing at Sydney church a ‘terrorist act’: Australian police
Australian police are treating a stabbing at a Sydney church as a terrorist attack, New South Wales Police Commissioner Karen Webb said on Tuesday.
A police personnel succumbed to his injuries after fierce clashes broke out between GJM supporters loyal to supremo Bimal Gurung and the state police in Darjeeling hills, officials said.
As per reports, police raided a Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) stock house in Darjeeling resulting in clashes between GJM supporters and the cops.
Apparently, some GJM workers opened fire on the cops leading to retaliation and clashes. Several cops were injured as well.

The GJM chief has been on the run since the Bengal police booked him under the stringent Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA). Justifying its raid, police claimed that Gurung was at the location, meeting his supporters.
