Delhi Social Welfare Minister Ravinder Indraj Singh urged parents and teachers to actively promote Hindi and other Indian languages among students. He made these remarks while speaking at the Hindi Diwas celebration during the annual function of Saral Gyaan School, Rohini Sector-14, on Sunday.

Emphasizing the importance of Hindi, he stated, “Hindi is not merely a language; it is a symbol of our culture, civilization, and national identity. It represents India’s pride and recognition across the world. We must pass on the rich heritage of Hindi to the younger generation.”

Indraj further noted that Hindi is the third most spoken language in the world.

“Apart from India, millions of people speak and understand Hindi in Mauritius, Fiji, Nepal, Suriname, Trinidad, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and many other countries,” he added.

The Cabinet Minister added that the presence of Hindi on digital media, films, television, journalism, and the internet is rapidly increasing. Hindi content is connecting millions of consumers across e-commerce platforms, mobile apps, and social media, thereby creating abundant opportunities for strengthening the economy and generating employment.

The Social Welfare Minister further said that Hindi has a glorious history and world-class literature. Leading universities across the globe offer Hindi studies, which reflects its rising international prestige. He emphasized that children should learn Hindi and make it an integral part of their daily lives.

During the annual function, students presented captivating performances rich in patriotism and cultural diversity. The Cabinet Minister appreciated their efforts and remarked that such programs instill confidence and cultural awareness in children. He encouraged all the participating students. The event was attended by the school management, parents, and local residents.
