Delhi Chief Minister and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal said here on Sunday that a common man would always want his children to be provided with a good education so that the family could alleviate poverty.
Speaking after the inauguration of 13 Schools of Eminence in Punjab in Ludhiana, including the one in the city, the Delhi chief minister expressed joy over providing good education to poor children. He said following in the footsteps of Delhi’s pioneering efforts, the endeavor has been undertaken by the Punjab government with a commitment to revolutionising its educational infrastructure.
“We are giving good education to poor children, who can eradicate poverty from their families,” he asserted, adding that when one enters the new schools, he/she won’t believe it is a government school.”

The AAP leader said if the private sector had built the kind of classrooms, laboratories, and other facilities available at the Schools of Eminence, it would be charging a monthly fee of at least Rs 10,000.

He complained that the Centre was not giving Rs 8,000 crore to Punjab, otherwise, many more schools, hospitals, and roads could have been built.
Kejriwal urged the people to further strengthen the hands of CM Bhagwant Mann by ensuring victory from all the 13 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections so that the Central government won’t be able to stop money from Punjab. “The way you blessed us with 92 of the 117 seats in the Assembly polls, give us 13 seats in the Lok Sabha, it would strengthen Mann’s hands and he can fight for your rights with greater strength,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion, the Punjab CM said the AAP does politics of development and not politics of hate or caste and also expressed that he wished such facilities in schools were available during his school days.
He added that AAP’s aim is to build good schools, good hospitals and create better infrastructure.
