The central government is sympathetic towards the developmental needs of Himachal Pradesh and the state is getting full support said Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.

He was addressing a huge gathering at Pandoga in Una district on Sunday, after laying foundation stone of Bridge over Padehal Khud on link road Una-Pirnigah-Bihru to village Madanpur to be constructed at a cost of Rs 100 lakh.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the present state government has full support Prime Minister Narinder Modi and BJP National Chief Amit Shah.

Today 21 states of the country have BJP Governments and credit to this goes to the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narinder Modi, he added.

“The opposition was opposing the recently presented budget only to divert the attention of the people from this developmental oriented budget,” he said.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the previous Government opened 16 degree colleges in the last days of its tenure and by making a provision of only Rs. 1 Lakh per college for these colleges.

He said that even a Primary Health Centre (PHC) was opened in the state at a place which not even existed in the state, which speaks of the desperation of the previous Government to retain power by any means.

The retired and tired officers were having say in the government during the previous tenure, he added.

The Chief Minister said that the people of the state have given massive mandate to the BJP in the state and credit of this goes to each and every people of the state.

The present government was committed towards providing transparent and responsive government to the people of the state, he said, adding that the government soon after coming to power initiated Gudiya Helpline for safety of women and Hoshiyar Singh Helpline for curbing mafia activities in the state.
