Punjab expected to procure 132 lakh metric tons wheat: Chief Secretary
Punjab is expected to procure 132 lakh metric tons wheat, out of which 17.14 lakh metric tons have already been acquired, Chief Secretary Anurag Verma said on Sunday.
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is offering unlimited voice calls in Punjab and talk value of Rs 100 on other network at Rs 129 per month.
With BB combo plans for Rs 291 and Rs 491 per month, BSNL is offering unlimited data and unlimited free calls to any network within India for new customers.
Stating this, chief general manager BSNL Punjab, JC Menaria said BSNL has been able to add new customers due to no monthly validity charges which are being levied by private operators.

During last three months, 53,068 mobile customers have ported in BSNL Punjab Circle, maintaining a favorable port in ratio of 0.63.
Under the Bharat net project of PM’s Digital India programme, BSNL has so far connected more than 7500 gram panchayats with optical fibre.
This will be used to bridge the digital divide between rural and urban India by offering all telecom services, data, voice, and video up to village level, he added.
