Bhopal office gets another hoax bomb threat
The Weights and Measures Department office in Bhopal received another bomb threat via email for the second consecutive day on Tuesday.
According to the Delhi Police, St. Thomas School, a private school, has received two threatening emails in a row. “10 schools and one college have received bomb threat emails in the past three days,” a senior police officer said.

Five schools in Delhi received bomb threat emails on Wednesday morning, marking the third consecutive day. St. Thomas School in Dwarka, Vasant Valley School in Vasant Kunj, Mother’s International School in Hauz Khas, Richmond Global School in Paschim Vihar, and Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in Lodi Estate have received the same threatening email this morning.
According to the Delhi Police, St. Thomas School, a private school, has received two threatening emails in a row. “10 schools and one college have received bomb threat emails in the past three days,” a senior police officer said.

The emails have been declared hoaxes. However, thorough searches of the premises are being conducted by the team as part of the security protocol.

Immediately after the incident was reported, officers evacuated the school premises and launched a search operation in the school’s vicinity. However, nothing suspicious found.
The Delhi Fire Service (DFS) team, accompanied by the local police and bomb detection and disposal squads, was rushed to the sites. The students who reached school were evacuated and sent outside the gates, and their families were informed about the same.
A senior police officer asserted, “We received alerts early in the morning from schools about the emails. Teams of the bomb detection and disposal squad were sent with special cell officials.”
“We are also looking into the email received. Nothing has been found yet. We ensured all parents and school staff had been alerted,” he added.
On Tuesday, two educational institutions, St. Thomas School, a private school in Delhi’s Dwarka, and St. Stephen’s College, received bomb threat emails and hoax threats.
Both the school and college were evacuated. The Delhi Police, along with the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), Cyber Crime Unit, Dog Squad, Delhi Fire Service (DFS) team, and Special Staff team, reached the spots.
A senior officer said, “St. Stephen’s College reported that they received the bomb threat at 7:15 am.”
“The mail claimed that four IEDs and two RDX bombs have been planted on the premises and in the library of the college,” he added.
“It further claimed that those would explode by 2 pm,” the officer quoted.
Meanwhile, on Monday, three schools in Delhi, including Navy School in Chanakyapuri, CRPF School in Dwarka, and another in Rohini, received bomb threat emails.
Ankit Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka), said, “Around 8 am, we were informed about the bomb threat at CRPF school, as well as another school in Chanakyapuri.”
“The area was promptly sanitised. Local police, accompanied by the Bomb Disposal Squad and sniffer dogs, reached the school and conducted due checks,” he further said.
The officer added, “Cyber police experts are ascertaining the source of the e-mail. However, the school security has been strengthened. Nothing suspicious has been found until now.”
