Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor on Tuesday hit out at the Aam Aadmi Party leaders, alleging that they spread falsehoods, adding that their party leader, Sanjay Singh, has spread lies regarding the Delhi government’s Independence Day Tricolour distribution campaign.
Kapoor said that Singh should remember that just like many other promotional campaigns, the people of Delhi have not forgotten the alleged loot and propaganda carried out under the name of the Tiranga campaign by the previous Kejriwal government.

Sharpening his attack, Kapoor said that Singh is a leader of the AAP, whose Kejriwal-led government allegedly committed a multi-crore scam in 2022 in the name of promoting the national flag distribution campaign.
He further alleged that, yet, they had failed to even hoist the national flag at the Delhi Secretariat back in the day.
Kapoor claimed that he had himself exposed this on social media platform X, (Twitter at the time), and the Kejriwal government remained silent on his social media tweet, while the revelation was widely covered in the news, he added.
The BJP spokesperson further stated that for the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, the Delhi government procured flags through a full tender process, strictly following rules, and the purchase was done through a government portal.
According to Kapoor, the GAD (General Administration Department) finalized the procurement contract on August 8, and all purchases were made as per regulations.
