Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to release the 21st instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Scheme on November 19, a government release Friday said.
The scheme has crossed a milestone, with over Rs 3.70 lakh crore disbursed to more than 11 crore farmer families across the country, the release said.

The PM-KISAN Scheme provides annual financial assistance of Rs 6,000 to eligible farmer families, paid in three instalments of Rs 2,000 each. The scheme has been instrumental in empowering farmers, especially women, with over 25% of benefits dedicated to them.

Digital Infrastructure: A farmer-centric digital infrastructure ensures seamless access to benefits, eliminating middlemen and ensuring transparency.
Aadhaar-based e-KYC: Farmers can complete e-KYC using OTP, biometric, or face authentication.
Mobile App: PM-KISAN Mobile App provides direct services to beneficiaries.
Kisan-eMitra Chatbot: A 24/7 chatbot offering support in 11 regional languages.
The scheme has had a significant impact on rural economic growth, alleviating credit constraints and increasing investments in agricultural inputs. The government aims to ensure last-mile coverage for farmers, with a new Farmer Registry initiative simplifying access to social welfare benefits.
