Sensex, Nifty end lower for fourth straight session
Sensex closed with a loss of 455 points, or 0.62%, at 72,488.99 while the Nifty 50 ended the day at 21,995.85, down 152 points, or 0.69%.
The key Indian equity indices were trading in the negative on Monday soon after opening.
The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), was trading 30.57 points or 0.084 per cent lower soon after opening.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 30.50 points or 0.28 per cent lower at 10,988.40 points.

The Sensex of the BSE, which opened at 36,658.71 points, was trading at 36,511.06 points (at 10.30 am), lower 30.57 points or 0.084 per cent from the previous day’s close at 36,541.63 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 36,658.71 points and a low of 36,496.65 points in the trade so far.
