Every year thousands of students flock to India’s capital to pursue engineering in some of its top engineering colleges. But which are these top engineering colleges in Delhi? India Rankings 2017 recently brought out the list of top colleges in India and here are the engineering colleges from Delhi which made the list.
Top engineering colleges in Delhi:
Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi: Ranked fourth among the top engineering colleges in India, the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi is a public engineering institute. The institute is known for its research activities, having got a massive 89.47 per cent in the Research and Professional Practice parameter according to India Rankings 2017. Spread across a sprawling campus covering 320 acres, IIT Delhi has 11 centres, 13 departments and four schools.

Jamia Millia Islamia: One of the top engineering colleges in Delhi, Jamia Millia Islamia is ranked 20 in the India rankings 2017 list of top engineering colleges in India. The HRD Ministry gave Jamia Millia Islamia 80.24 per cent in the Graduation Outcome parameter, which includes factors like salary, placements, higher studies and entrepreneurship.
Delhi Technological University: Formerly known as the Delhi College of Engineering, the Delhi Technological University, Delhi’s first engineering college and one of the oldest engineering colleges in Delhi. The University ranks 39 among the top engineering colleges in India according to India ranking 2017.
Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology-New Delhi (IIIT): One of the top engineering colleges in Delhi, the IIIT New Delhi is ranked 56 in India according to India Rankings 2017. IIIT is spread across a 25 acre campus and offers programmes like computational biology, mathematics, social sciences and design among others.
