Oxford University Press employees paint a slum school on occasion of ‘World Art Day’

It was ‘World Art Day’ on April 15, 2019, and the Oxford University Press employees along with the children from Ritinjali, an NGO, created wall arts.

They also painted their school located in the slum at the Nathupur Pahari area. Over 25 employees from Oxford University Press India participated in the school painting activity aimed at making it more colourful and vibrant.

The school painting activity was based on important social issues like environment conservation, girl child literacy and the importance of hygiene among others.

Oxford University Press has forged a partnership with Ritinjali and their aim is to be committed to supporting the learning needs of children studying at the Nathupur learning centre. The support that they plan to provide will include books, stationery, learning infrastructure as well as teacher training.
