CBSE Class 12 result out: Noida’s Raksha Gopal scores 99.6% to top exam

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Class 12 result on 28 May. Raksha Gopal from Amity International School, Noida, has emerged the topper with 99.6 per cent (498/500).

A student of humanities, Raksha scored full marks in English, economics and political science. In history and psychology, her score was 99 out of 100.

According to CBSE, this year the pass percentage in the exam has fallen to 82 per cent from 83.05 per cent in the previous year.

“I congratulate all those who were successful, those who did not succeed must not lose hope,” Human Resource Minister Prakash Javadekar, who had earlier assured that the board result would be declared on time, was quoted as saying by a news agency.

The result, which was announced after 10.20 a.m., can be accessed on cbse.nic.in and www.cbseresults.nic.in.

Candidates who appeared for the CBSE Class 12 exam can check their result by submitting their Roll, School and Centre numbers as given on the admit card.

The Class 12 result was earlier expected to be out on 27 May. However, on Saturday, it was announced that the result would be declared on 28 May.

According to CBSE, 10.9-lakh students appeared for the Class-12 examination in 2017, which is 2.8 per cent more than the previous year.
