Remarks against Mamata: Dilip Ghosh granted bail
BJP leader Dilip Ghosh today was granted bail by the ACJM Court, Durgapur pertaining to a case registered against him for his remarks about Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's parentage.
A remark of Bongaon South BJP MLA Swapan Mallick today fuelled a controversy after he allegedly threatened to set the Asokhnagar police station on fire. He made the statement while he was addressing a meeting there. Trinamul Congress’ North 24 Parganas observer Jyotipriya Mallick said BJP has this kind of political culture and they had earlier attacked BDO office and threatened to beat up staff there with sticks.
Meanwhile BJP national vice president and MP Dilip Ghosh today said if chief minister Mamata Banerjee has such objection to the slogan “Jai Shri Ram” then law should be passed in Assembly to stop it. “In India Jai Shri Ram can be uttered, there no ban on it.
