‘Never evaded any probe’: Abhishek Banerjee on CID summons
On Friday, a team of CID officials reached Abhishek Banerjee's residence at Kalighat Road in South Kolkata.
The Beleghata MLA has been directed to appear at Bhabani Bhaban on Sunday, June 14, while there is a possibility that he and TMC general secretary Abhishek Banerjee could be questioned together.

West Bengal Police’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has issued a notice to TMC MLA Kunal Ghosh in connection with the forged-signature case.
The Beleghata MLA has been directed to appear at Bhabani Bhaban on Sunday, June 14, while there is a possibility that he and TMC general secretary Abhishek Banerjee could be questioned together.

The Lok Sabha MP has also received a fresh CID summons to appear before CID at 12 p.m. on Sunday.

Both the TMC leaders are facing interrogation in connection with the case of mismatches in the signatures of some TMC legislators on a crucial resolution regarding appointments for important slots in the West Bengal Assembly reserved for the Opposition bench.
Notably, this will mark the second round of questioning in this case for Abhishek Banerjee, the nephew of former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He had already undergone a marathon grilling in the matter on Thursday.
