Will implement UCC across country after coming back to power: Shah
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday emphasised the BJP's commitment to implement Uniform Civil Code nationwide once it secures power.
In different public places of Chandannagar, anti-Locket Chatterjee posters have appeared. It is mentioned in the posters that BJP mandal presidents have taken the initiative.
The posters mention that the BJP MP has never visited the BJP mandal offices and most of the time she has kept herself away from the Hooghly Lok Sabha constituency. They mention that a wide communication gap has developed between the voters of Hooghly constituency and the MP and there is a strong resentment among the people against Locket Chatterjee.
The Hooghly MP has blamed party mandal presidents for the outburst. Meanwhile, the mondal presidents said that Locket Chatterjee blames them for everything and has threatened them with dire consequences. “Hence, the posters are an open letter to PM Narendra Modi urging his intervention to save us from Locket Chatterjee,” said one of the presidents.

The Hooghly MP, reacting to the posters against her, blamed it as a dirty conspiracy of the ruling Trinamul Congress. The TMC is afraid of the Modi storm which will completely rout the TMC from Hooghly district and West Bengal.
Chinsurah MLA Ashit Mazumdar said, “We are least bothered about Locket Chatterjee. Our fight is against Narendra Modi, our party workers are least interested and have no time to put up posters against Miss Chatterjee because she will lose from the Hooghly constituency.
