National-level shooter Damayanti Sen, who had been missing since Thursday afternoon, returned home safely on Saturday after nearly 48 hours, bringing relief to her family and the shooting fraternity. However, questions remain unanswered over where the 15-year-old had been during the two days she was untraceable.

A four-member Special Investigating Team (SIT), formed on Friday to trace the shooter and investigate her disappearance, had not issued any statement till the filing of this report.
Damayanti, who was recently selected for the national team trials, had left her home on Thursday afternoon to buy household items. According to her parents, she was carrying her mobile phone when she stepped out but did not return.
Investigators had earlier traced the teenager through CCTV footage at Howrah Station on Thursday. She was seen moving between platforms four and five.
She was later reportedly spotted on Friday afternoon at the Mahesh Rath Yatra in Serampore, prompting police to intensify the search. After the information circulated on social media, four police teams were deployed to trace the missing shooter, who lives in central Howrah.
Her safe return has brought relief to neighbours and fellow shooters, even as the circumstances surrounding her disappearance remain unclear.
