Middle-aged woman’s body found stuffed in suitcase

The body of an unidentified woman was found stuffed in a suitcase lying by the side of National Highway 6 in West Bengal’s Howrah district on Sunday, police said.

The body of a middle-aged woman was recovered from the suitcase in Uluberia industrial area on Sunday morning, a police officer said.

“There are several injury marks on the body. It seems the woman was killed somewhere else and the body was dumped here later,” he said.

“The deceased has not been identified yet. We are sending her picture to other police stations in the district,” the officer added.
