The Kolkata Metro Railway has decided to run 60 services, instead of 272 from Dakshineswar to Sahid Khudiram in the Blue Line during the festival of Dol yatra tomorrow.
Apart from running 60 services, the city Metro is also to start operation late during the day. In the Blue Line, the Metro services are to start from 2.30 p.m. from Noapara to Sahid Khudiram and from Sahid Khudiram to Dakshineswar instead of 6.50 a.m. Also, the first service from Dakshineswar to Sahid Khudiram would be operated at 2.30 a.m. instead of the usual time of 6.55 a.m. As informed by the city Metro office, service at 9.38 p.m. from Dakshineswar to Mahanayak Uttam Kumar will not be operated by the authorities tomorrow. The authorities have also announced no change in the timings of the last Metro in the Blue Line.

Like the Blue Line, the Green Line also is to have a reduced number of services following holiday on the day of the festival. According to the Kolkata Metro Railway office, the authorities have decided to operate 45 services between Howrah Maidan and Salt Lake Sector V instead of 228 services. The services on this corridor would also start late. The first service in this corridor is to be operated at 3 p.m. between Howrah Maidan to Salt Lake Sector V instead of 6.45 a.m.
On the other side, the first service from Salt Lake Sector V to Howrah Maidan would be run at 3.02 p.m. instead of 6.39 a.m. while the timing of the last service has been kept unchanged for this corridor as well.
In the Yellow Line, 44 services would be run between Noapara and Jai Hind Bimanbandar instead of 120. The first service from Noapara to Jai Hind Bimanbandar would run at 3.38 p.m. instead of 7.18 a.m. and at 3 p.m. from Jai Hind Bimanbandar to Noapara instead of 7.40 a.m. The timing of the last service has been kept unchanged.
As learnt, the Purple and Orange Lines also would have reduced numbers of services with the first services starting late.
