Ahead of Durga Puja, Singer Iman Chakraborty in collaboration with Saregama, released a new original Puja song ‘Aigiri Nandini’ on Tuesday, September 13 on the special occasion of her birthday.
Sung by Iman Chakraborty, the song is composed by her husband Nilanjan Ghosh. Saikat Chattopadhyay penned down the lyrics. The song celebrates women empowerment depicting how today’s women are capable of multitasking in every sphere of life.
National award winner Iman Chakraborty stars as the protagonist in the song representing today’s ‘Nari shakti.’ Talking about it, the singer excitedly said, “I am extremely happy and grateful that Aigiri Nandini is releasing on my birthday. This song has many old memories and it was a challenging task to recreate it in a new way. It ushers Ma Durga’s agomoni but also speaks about the power of women. We created the song keeping in mind these aspects and I am so happy that people are liking it. My birthday is made special.”
