Mamata to address twin rallies in Asansol on Saturday

New Township Police of Asansol Durgapur Police Commissionerate arrested a meritorious engineering student and seized a fire arms from him from MAMC colony in Durgapur.
The arrested Soham Chatterjee is a student of applied electrical engineer fourth year B.Tech of a private engineering college at Fulljhore in Durgapur.
He has secured 92 per cent in Madhyamik examination and 89 per cent in Higher Secondary examinations. A resident of MAMC B1 in Durgapur, was arrested along with another person named Nayan Dey.

Since the past few days, some people have been allegedly collecting money showing fire arms from local people. Police started the investigation after getting the complaint.
A single shooter pipe gun and four live cartridges have been seized from their possession. Such single shoter country made fire arms are not used by local criminals. But what baffles the police most is that photographs of several fire arms have been found from the cell phones from their possession.
Police is now trying to find out with whom they are in contact as sources said that during night they mix with some unknown outsiders.
The arrest of an engineering student has created a stir in the educational hub of the state.
