District Magistrate Sweta Agarwal said the state government had set a target of 1.69 lakh registrations for the district before the formal launch of the scheme.
“Not only did we meet the target, but we completed 1.98 lakh registrations in the last five days,” she said.
Officials added that a door-to-door survey of beneficiaries under the Central Housing Scheme will begin shortly. Government representatives conducting the survey will also carry out Annapurna Yojana registrations simultaneously.
