Abhishek Banerjee, the party’s national general secretary will also take part in the campaigning.

The Trinamul Congress has released the election manifesto and assured better administration if voted to power.

Party leaders have alleged that the BJP government in Tripura did not carry out any development in the past five years. There is mounting unemployment and no industrialisation. The economic condition of the people has gone from bad to worse. The party leaders are hopeful about the prospects of Trinamul Congress in the Assembly poll.

Meanwhile Trinamul leaders have come out strongly against the campaign being mounted against Miss Banerjee alleging that she had shown disrespect to Thakur Harichand Guruchand, the founders of Matua community.

The party leaders said while addressing a political rally recently Miss Banerjee had said inadvertently uttered their names wrongly.

Miss Banerjee has profound respect for the founders and has done much more forthe development of the Matua community. The leaders urged people not to get swayed by the false campaign.
