Bengal signature forgery case: CID likely to summon Abhishek Banerjee for third round of interrogation soon
Abhishek, nephew of former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, is expected to be summoned by CID again.
The state cabinet, which met at Nabanna today under the leadership of chief minister Mamata Banerjee, decided in principle to hand over about 193.7 acres of land to West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation (WBIDC) for setting up the Tajpur-Dankuni-Raghunathpur economic corridor.

The state cabinet, which met at Nabanna today under the leadership of chief minister Mamata Banerjee, decided in principle to hand over about 193.7 acres of land to West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation (WBIDC) for setting up the Tajpur-Dankuni-Raghunathpur economic corridor.
Besides, the cabinet also decided logistics hubs to be accorded “industrial” keeping in mind employment generation in the state.

This apart, the cabinet also cleared the proposal for initiating recruitments in 15 posts lying vacant in New Town Kolkata Development Authority with immediate effect.

The state cabinet today’s decision to clear the decks for handing over nearly 200 acres of land to the WBIDC for setting up the proposed Tajpur-Dankuni-Raghunathpur economic corridor assumed significant since the state is pinning its hopes to usher in industrial development, centring around the proposed corridor.
The proposed corridor is among three others such as Dankuni-Kalyani-Jhargram, Dankuni-Cooch Behar-Joka and Guruvi-Moregram-Kharagpur.
