In view of this, a largescale traffic diversion has been planned. The movement of trams along CIT Road up to Ultadanga Station will be suspended from 10 p.m on 22 August till completion of the work on 25 August.

Aurobindo Setu will remain closed to traffic from 11.30 p.m on 22 August to 11 p.m on 25 August for conducting load test to assess the riding condition and for preparation of a DPR (Detailed Project Report) for repairing and retrofitting works to be undertaken for the bridge by the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority( KMDA).

In view of this, a largescale traffic diversion has been planned. The movement of trams along CIT Road up to Ultadanga Station will be suspended from 10 p.m on 22 August till completion of the work on 25 August.

Besides, West-bound small vehicles and auto rickshaws, availing Ultadanga Main Road- Aurobindo Setu for Khanna crossing, will be diverted from the Eastern end of Aurobindo Setu via Southern side at grade Road (Kabirajabagan Lane) of Aurobindo Setu- Canal East Road- Bailey Bridge, Canal West Road, Nirad Bihari Mallick Street, RD Street, Aurobinda Sarani, Khanna crossing.

Buses, mini buses of route nos 201, S-21, KB-16, New Town to Dankuni, AC-35, 32 A Bagbazar to Garia, Haroa to Dankuni, 91C, Paikpara to Garia, Belurmath to Garia, Dakshineswar to Naktala, Dankuni to Kamalgazi, JM-2 and Shyambazar to Polerhat will be diverted from Shyambazar five point crossing via R G Kar Road, Patipukur underpass, Jessore Road, Lake Town, VIP Road and Durgapur Bridge. Buses/ Mini Buses of Route Nos 215A, 215A/1, L-238, 44A, Salt Lake to Japani Gate, Tegharia to Howrah and Salt Lake to Tikia Para will be diverted from Hudco Crossing via CIT Road – Kankurgachi Crossing – Maniktala Main Road – Manicktala Crossing – Vivekananda Road for their to and from trips. Buses/ Mini Buses of Route Nos 30C/1, 217A, 217, KB-21, 46A and 260 will be diverted from Hudco Crossing via CIT Road – Kankurgachi Crossing – Phoolbagan Crossing – Narkeldanga Main Road – Raja Bazar Crossing – A P C Road for their to and from trips. Buses/ Mini Buses of Route Nos KB-22, K-1 and 007 will be diverted from Hudco Crossing via Durgapur Bridge – Lake Town- Jessore Road – Patipukur Underpass – R G Kar Road – Kolkata Station/Shyambazar 5 Point Crossing for their to and from journey.

Buses/ Mini Buses of Route Nos 211, 211A, 211B and New Barrackpore to Howrah will be diverted from C R Avenue/Aurobinda Sarani Crossing via J M Avenue – Bhupen Bose Avenue – Shyambazar five Point Crossing – R G Kar Road – Patipukur Underpass – Jassore Road for their to and from journies. Vehicular traffic may also be diverted from any of the arterial and feeder roads by traffic police on duty as and when considered necessary. These regulations will be enforced in addition to the other normal restrictions on these days, said a traffic police statement. This will come into force from 11.30 p.m. on 22 August and will continue up to 11 p.m on 25 August.
