Iran’s supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has warned that the United States will face severe consequences from Tehran and its regional partners. He accused Washington of repeatedly breaking last month’s memorandum of understanding between the two countries.
A written statement from Khamenei was read on Iranian state television on Saturday. He said the US had broken the agreement many times. This, he said, proved that President Trump’s signature carries no real weight or legitimacy.

The statement described American foreign policy as built on bullying and dominance. It said this behavior is part of the core doctrine guiding US actions abroad.

Khamenei said the US is now trying to push the conflict further and risk greater losses and embarrassment. He said Iran and its allied forces in the region are prepared to deliver lessons that Washington will not forget.
He also said the US had shown its true nature during the conflict. He described this nature as dishonest, unreasonable, unreliable, and harmful.
Khamenei urged Iranians to trust their leadership to keep the country safe. He asked the public to stay alert and engaged as the conflict continues.
The report notes that the US expanded its attacks this week to include civilian infrastructure. Targets reportedly included bridges, rail lines, and water desalination facilities.
Iran has responded with strikes on infrastructure in Kuwait. Authorities there have urged residents to conserve electricity following the attacks.
This conflict between the US, Israel, and Iran began in February. Iran’s leadership reportedly views the war as a threat to the country’s survival.
