Five men were killed and one critically injured after their SUV rammed into into a moving truck at a high speed from behind in the Maihar district of Madhya Pradesh in the wee hours of Tuesday. The incident occured near village Rigra on National Highway-30 at around 2 am.

Five men were killed and one critically injured after their SUV rammed into into a moving truck at a high speed from behind in the Maihar district of Madhya Pradesh in the wee hours of Tuesday. The incident occured near village Rigra on National Highway-30 at around 2 am.
According to the police, the victims, all relatives, were returning from a birthday party of another of their relative. They were travelling in a Mahindra XUV vehicle (MP 13 L 1887).

The driver of the truck told the police that the XUV hit his vehicle from behind at a very high speed while he was driving at a normal speed.

The impact of the collision was severe that the XUV was mangled and the five men died on the spot while the truck’s rear wheels were also damaged.
According to Nadan Dehat police station in-charge Panchraj Singh, the deceased were identified as Shiva Patel (23) Harishankar Patel (25), Vijay Patel (30), Mridul Patel (33), and Ankur Patel (40).
The lone critically injured survivor, Om Patel, was rushed to the Satna Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment.
