Swachhata Pakhwada: POWERGRID organises Swachhata drive, awareness activities

Naveen Srivastava, Director (Operations), Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), has been honoured with the IAM Global McKeown Award for Individual Achievement 2026 by the Institute of Asset Management (IAM), UK.
The award was presented to Srivastava during the IAM Global Conference 2026, which was held in London on June 17–18. He was selected winner among the finalists from Turkey, Portugal, UK, Dubai and Qatar, read a statement.

Being among the highest international honours in the field of Asset Management, the IAM Global McKeown Award recognises individuals for their outstanding contributions to advancing the profession globally.

Srivastava received the award for his leadership in strengthening POWERGRID’s asset performance through the implementation of ISO 55001, digital initiatives, and globally benchmarked asset management systems, the statement added.
During the conference, Srivastava delivered a technical presentation titled “Driving Asset Management and Digitalization in POWERGRID,” highlighting the organisation’s implementation of ISO 55001, Asset Health Index, and Reliability-Centered Maintenance.
The conference witnessed participation from organizations representing more than 25 countries spanning Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Australia. The recognition reflects POWERGRID’s continued commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and the adoption of globally recognized asset management practices for strengthening India’s power transmission network.
As on May 31, POWERGRID has commissioned and is operating 291 substations, more than 1,85,750 circuit kilometres of transmission lines, and 6,30,516 MVA of transformation capacity.
Through the adoption of advanced technologies, automation, and digital solutions, POWERGRID has maintained an average transmission system availability of more than 99.84 per cent.
