Taylor Swift’s big wedding week is bringing out her closest friends, and Selena Gomez was right there for the rehearsal dinner.
Gomez attended the rehearsal dinner at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Thursday, July 2, ahead of Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding.

The 33 year old singer shared a video on her Instagram Stories showing herself applying Rare Beauty lipstick as she got ready for the night. She kept her look sleek, pairing it with diamond jewelry from Fernando Jorge, specifically the Flicker Short Earrings and the matching Flicker Ring.

Earlier that same day, Gomez posted another moment on her Instagram Stories, this time featuring her husband Benny Blanco. The photo showed the two of them sitting on a couch.
She captioned the image with a simple, heartfelt line, saying she wished Benny could be there with her in that moment.
Gomez and Swift’s friendship dates all the way back to 2008. At the time, both were dating members of the Jonas Brothers. Swift was seeing Joe Jonas, while Gomez was linked to Nick Jonas.
What started as a shared connection through those relationships eventually grew into a genuine, lasting friendship. Over the years, the two have shown up for each other repeatedly, cheering from the sidelines at award shows and even sharing the stage together on occasion.
The support has clearly gone both ways. Swift stood by Gomez during her own wedding to Blanco last year, even delivering a speech at the ceremony.
Gomez was far from the only familiar face at Thursday’s rehearsal dinner. Guests began arriving at Madison Square Garden around 6 p.m., with several recognizable names spotted heading into the venue.
Among those seen arriving were Lena Dunham, Jack Antonoff, Abigail Anderson, Erin Andrews, Charissa Thompson, Greg Olsen, and Aric Jones. The turnout reflects just how many close friends and industry connections Swift and Kelce have gathered around them for this milestone.
Fans have been closely following Swift and Kelce’s relationship since they first confirmed their romance in October 2023. The couple engaged in August 2025, nearly two years after going public.
At the time of their engagement, they shared a joint Instagram post that quickly went viral. They playfully described themselves as ‘your English teacher and your gym teacher getting married’.
