Assuming his charge as the new Managing Director of UJVNL, Singh said his team would strive hard to ensure that the company emerges as a premium power-generating enterprise in the country. If needed the company will widen its scope of work in the coming days. “Our objective is to bring UJVN among the country’s leading, technically capable and financially sound power enterprises. Lakhwar Hydropower Project on the Yamuna River is important not merely for Uttarakhand but for the nation as well. This project is important because it will benefit several northern states by providing water for irrigation and drinking, in addition to power generation.
