Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on Wednesday expressed the hope that the state would contribute nearly $2 trillion to the national target of making India a $30 trillion economy in the Viksit Bharat@2047 envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing a conclave on the theme ‘Viksit Madhya Pradesh’ at Bhopal, Yadav said that the change comes only when aspirations are backed by a strong resolve. He called it a matter of pride for every Indian that under the visionary leadership and firm commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has undergone a remarkable transformation, and several countries across the world have conferred their highest civilian honours upon the Prime Minister.

He said the state government remains committed to advancing principles of service, good governance and public welfare championed by the Prime Minister. “Today, Madhya Pradesh is counted among the fastest-growing states in the country and is progressing steadily on the path of preserving its heritage while accelerating development”, the CM asserted.
Recalling Veerangana Rani Durgavati on her martyrdom day, the Chief Minister said that people of Madhya Pradesh will always remember her sacrifice and valour.
Inviting industrialists to take advantage of the state’s vast investment opportunities, he remarked that one of Madhya Pradesh’s unique qualities is that anyone who visits the state once develops a lasting bond with it.
He said Madhya Pradesh has witnessed sustained developmental momentum over the past three years. The state has ample land banks for establishment of new industries. To facilitate investment, the government has introduced transparent and industry-friendly policies that have created a favourable business environment.
These strengths have attracted investors from across the country. Owing to its central location, Madhya Pradesh offers significant advantages in connectivity and logistics. The government has also placed special emphasis on infrastructure development to strengthen road connectivity in all directions.
CM Dr Yadav said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, the state successfully hosted the first-ever Global Investors Summit 2025 in Bhopal, which resulted in unprecedented investment commitments and signing of numerous MoUs.
He expressed satisfaction that investment proposals worth ₹10 lakh crore have already begun taking shape on the ground. Madhya Pradesh has built a reputation not only as an agrarian state but also as an industry-friendly destination. The state government had dedicated the year 2025 to industry and employment generation.
The Chief Minister said that Indian youth have enhanced the country’s prestige by rising to leadership positions in some of the world’s largest companies. Indian scientists have also achieved remarkable milestones in space technology. In line with these developments, Madhya Pradesh has launched its own Space-Tech Policy. He reiterated the government’s commitment to making Madhya Pradesh the best-performing state in the country.
The conclave was attended by representatives of industry and trade, investors, banking and financial institutions, and policy-makers.
