‘You left me on my birthday…I loved you so much’: Siya Goyal’s Instagram story after killing fiancé
Siya and her boyfriend Chetan Chaudhary had allegedly pushed Ketan down into a valley at Pune's iconic Lohagad Fort on June 18.
Siya tried to paint the incident as an accident and told police that Ketan slipped and fell into the valley while clicking pictures.
The alleged murder of 26-year-old Pune businessman Ketan Vishal Agarwal was meticulously planned by his fiancée Siya Goyal and her lover Chetan Chaudhary and was in fact the second attempt after the first one failed.
Ketan died on June 18 after falling into a valley at Pune’s iconic Lohagad Fort where he had gone to celebrate Siya’s birthday.

Police believed her story and treated it as a case of accidental death. However, Ketan’s family grew suspicious of Siya and asked police to investigate her role.
And when the police began to dig deeper, they unearthed a chilling conspiracy by the woman who was about to marry Ketan the following month.
According to Pune Rural Police SP Sandeep Singh Gill, Siya Goyal called to report that Ketan Agarwal had slipped and fallen from the fort, resulting in his death.
“Subsequent inquiries and information gathered from relatives and friends raised suspicions; it seemed unlikely for such an accident to occur spontaneously, especially given that Ketan was an experienced trekker,” he said.
When Ketan’s family expressed doubts, a formal complaint was lodged and an investigation was launched. During the course of the investigation, police thoroughly examined confidential sources, witness statements and technical evidence and uncovered the conspiracy.
“It was revealed that Siya Goyal had a friend named Chetan Chaudhary. The two had known each other for about a year. They conspired to execute this plan; at Lohagad Fort, they pushed Ketan Agarwal, causing him to fall to his death. Consequently, the Lonavala Rural Police Station has registered a murder case against them. Both individuals have been taken into custody; during interrogation, they confessed to the crime, and further investigation is currently underway,” he added.
How Siya and her lover executed Ketan’s murder
According to Ketan’s father, Siya Goyal and Ketan Agarwal got engaged in February, with a lavish wedding planned for November this year.
Ketan’s father said that Siya and his son were leaving for Bali, Indonesia, on June 6 along with two others.
However, Ketan’s passport got stolen and they had to return from the airport. It was later revealed that Siya tore the passport and threw it in the washroom of a hotel where they had stopped for breakfast.
Ketan’s family grew suspicious about how only Ketan’s passport was stolen while the cash that was kept in the same suitcase wasn’t.
After their Bali trip was cancelled, they went to Lohagad Fort for a trek and Siya allegedly tried to kill Ketan but failed.
“She pushed Ketan but he got hold of a nearby tree. She told Ketan that there was a snake and she saved him… my son didn’t realise for a second that his fiancée’s intentions were evil…,” said Ketan’s father.
Ketan began planning Siya’s birthday party and reportedly booked a resort. However, Siya insisted that she wanted to celebrate her birthday at Lohagad Fort and that her male and female friends would also join them.
“When Ketan refused this, Siya video-called his mother and asked her to convince him…,” Ketan’s father said.
Ketan finally agreed and went to Lohagad. Siya’s lover, Chetan Chaudhary, arrived at the fort on a two-wheeler.
Chetan and Siya went up together and when they reached a secluded area, they allegedly hit Ketan with an object and threw him down from the top.
“If she didn’t want to get married, she could have simply refused; we would have cancelled the wedding immediately. Why did they decide to take such a drastic step? What kind of mindset do they have? Their mindset is so cruel that someone’s 26-year-old son could be killed…,” said the grieving father.
He urged the government to fast-track the case and punish the accused as soon as possible. “They deserve the strictest possible punishment to send a clear message to everyone…,” Ketan’s father added.
