Odisha’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls has reached an advanced stage, with enumeration forms distributed to 3.31 crore people, comprising 99.14% of voters across the state, according to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO).
As of 6 pm on June 15, forms had been distributed to more than 3.31 crore electors. The exercise, undertaken on the Election Commission’s directions, aims to make the voter list more accurate, transparent and up to date.

With distribution nearing completion, the focus has shifted to digitisation. So far, 42.86% of the forms, covering 1.43 crore voters, have been digitised. Authorities plan to speed up the process in the coming days.
After digitisation and verification, the names of deceased, shifted and other ineligible voters will be removed before the publication of the final electoral roll.
Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have been directed to complete the distribution, collection and digitisation of forms by June 28, 2026. Voters have been urged to cooperate with BLOs and submit their forms within the deadline.
Officials warned that non-submission of forms may invite verification and further action under electoral rules. Eligible voters have therefore been advised to complete the process promptly to ensure their names remain on the electoral rolls.
